Antichrist

Introduction

There are several passages in the Bible that everyone agrees are about the Antichrist. However, the term itself only appears in 1 & 2 John. The other passages are a little more cryptic. The information is coded and disguised. There was and is a need to conceal the particulars. This information was meant for believers only. They need to understand their enemy. It was not given in order to expose the enemy. He can hardly deceive if everyone and anybody can figure it out. The information in the prophets is given so the faithful will not be deceived or lulled into a false sense of repose.

The Titles of anti-christ

We will examine these titles separately to discover their differences and commonalities, and why the obscure ones are presented in that manner.

The deceivers would have you believe all is well until future catastrophes happen. That some great evil person will arise and politically take over at least the ten nations if not the whole earth. This individual will persecute God’s people, sometimes Jews sometimes Christians. But none of this is Biblical.

Open your eyes and be on guard for antichrists are here now, just as they were during the 1st century, when John wrote they were already here.

Children, it is the last hour; and as you have heard that antichrist is coming, so now many antichrists have come; therefore we know that it is the last hour. 1 John 2:18
