Trampling in prophecy is the subjection of political power for a time. Trampling is the action of treating someone or someplace as despised and worthless. It is likened to straw being thrown into water to create manure.
Rebuke the beasts that dwell among the reeds, the herd of bulls with the calves of the peoples. Trample under foot those who lust after tribute; scatter the peoples who delight in war. Psa. 68:30
. . . that I will break the Assyrian in my land, and upon my mountains trample him under foot; and his yoke shall depart from them, and his burden from their shoulder.” Is. 14:25
